Each USMC MARPAT Field Tarp is inspected carefully and graded into one of 4 grades. Premium, Very Good, Good and Fair. This is the photo description of the “Premium Grade”. These tarps are in excellent condition. They have virtually no signs of use and are void of any major defects. A literal pinhole or light scratch in the urethane coating can be found occasionally. In some cases they still have the tags on them. Some tarps may be missing bungee / shock cords.

VERY GOOD CONDITION

FIELD TARP PHOTO DESCRIPTION

Each USMC MARPAT Field Tarp is inspected carefully and graded into one of 4 grades. Premium, Very Good, Good and Fair. This is the photo description of the “Very Good “. These tarps will have limited signs of use. pinholes are common in this grade but are void of any holes, rips, tears or slits that exceed the size of a dime. Light abrasions in the coating on the Coyote Brown side can be present. All grommets and snaps are present and functional, elastic bungees may be missing. These tarps are in serviceable condition and have a lot of life left in them.

We recommend including one of our tarp repair kits with your order to keep your field tarp in tip top condition and leak free.

USMC MARPAT Reversible Field Tarps

Genuine Issue United States Marine Corps waterproof field tarps. The USMC Reversible Field Tarps are Woodland Digital camouflage on one side and Coyote Brown on the other. Incredibly versatile piece of kit, can be suspended by the two center grommets and staked at the corners to create a snug waterproof hasty shelter. Two way gypsy snaps around the edges allow it to be converted into a bivy cover (tie your Woobie (poncho liner) into it and you will have a nice warm and dry sleeping bag). Multiple tarps can be snapped together to create a much larger tarp or simply lay it on the ground or over yourself as a waterproof barrier. The base of the tarp is made from a sturdy ripstop nylon waterproof fabric.

The photos are representative of the USMC MARPAT Reversible Field Tarp you will receive. The USMC MARPAT Reversible Field Tarp you actually receive may differ slightly in appearance from the representative photos, but will be substantially the same in terms of their condition and functionality. 

GOOD CONDITION

Each USMC MARPAT Field Tarp is inspected carefully and graded into one of 4 grades. Premium, Very Good, Good and Fair. This is the photo description of the “Good Condition”. These tarps will have some moderate signs of use. Holes the size of a quarter can be present or a few smaller defects can bring a tarp into this grade. Abrasions in the coating on the Coyote side is common in this grade. Most common is a few small holes with pin holes and light abrasions that can be easily repaired. All grommets and snaps are present, elastic bungees maybe missing. These tarps are in serviceable condition and have a lot of life left in them.

FAIR CONDITION

FIELD TARP PHOTO DESCRIPTION

Each USMC MARPAT Field Tarp is inspected carefully and graded into one of 4 grades. Premium, Very Good, Good and Fair. This is the photo description of the “Fair Condition”. These tarps will have more aggressive signs of use. It typically manifests as one large hole but can also be a series of smaller holes that bring the tarp down to this level. More substantial abrasions in the coating are common as well as pin holes, previous patches and permanent marker. Elastic bungees maybe missing.
