MOLLE II Load Lifter Attachment Strap – Foliage Green
This is the genuine USGI load lifter attachment strap for the MOLLE II Large Rucksack frame, sold as a pair in foliage green. Each strap has 1-inch nylon webbing, an ITW Nexus ladder-lock buckle, and a steel slide. These are issued parts under NSN 8465-01-524-7241. They are not commercial copies, so they fit the frame like the originals.
Load lifters are small parts that get lost or broken all the time. They come off when you strip a ruck for cleaning. Buckles also crack after years of hard use. However, a ruck without them carries noticeably worse, because the top of the pack pulls away from your back.
What load lifter straps do
The load lifter attachment strap links the top of the shoulder harness to the upper frame. When you snug it down, the top of the ruck pulls in close to your shoulders. As a result, the load stays over your hips instead of levering backward on your traps.
The MOLLE rucksack instructions keep it simple. Pull the strap to place more weight on your hips. Lift the buckle tab to put more weight on your shoulders. That way you can adjust on the move without taking the ruck off.
Load lifter strap fit and compatibility
These straps came on the foliage green, ACU-era MOLLE II Large Rucksack. They also work on the OCP / MultiCam versions of the same ruck, because the hookup is the same. The only catch is color. So if you want everything to match tan OCP gear, look for the tan version instead.

We check every pair by hand before it ships. Straps are grade Good / Very Good: previously issued and 100% operational.
Expect signs of use, which may include abrasion on the webbing, scratches on the buckles, and surface dirt. In addition, the steel slides vary from strap to strap. Some are painted, some are bare metal, and some show light surface rust. None of that affects function. Every buckle locks and every slide holds.
