MARPATCH® Tarp Repair Kit

It’s time to pull that duct tape off your USMC MARPAT Reversible Field Tarp and upgrade to Smith’s Surplus MARPATCH™ USMC Tarp Repair Kit. Our MARPATCH™ USMC Tarp Repair Kit patches are made from real USMC MARPAT Reversible Field Tarp. Your repair will blend in perfectly with the rest of the tarp without any tape residue or patches that stand out. MARPATCH™ Tarp patches can be cut to better fit the damaged area. Our 21 piece MARPATCH™ USMC Tarp Repair Kit consists of 18 patches in 3 different sizes, .85fl oz of Smith’s Surplus Repair Kit Adhesive and adhesive spreader are neatly packed in a crush proof screw top PET Test Tube.

The MARPATCH™ printed instruction insert is perforated and doubles as an adhesive spreader. Simply tear along the perforation and use the piece to spread the Smith’s Surplus Repair Kit Adhesive. The 1” disc MARPAT patches are great for small pinholes and smaller holes in your USMC MARPAT Reversible Field Tarpaulin. Glue can be used as a standalone treatment for pinholes and can double as a seam sealer. Adhesive will even work underwater! Bonds in minutes fully cured in 24 hrs.  Adhesive remains flexible in freezing and hot conditions. When you’re finished with your kit the test tube is great for storing small items or keeping your victory cigar safely tucked away.

Instructions:

All surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease and oil. Best if used between 50°F and 90°F. Use in a well ventilated area. Avoid breathing adhesive vapors and prolonged contact with your skin. We found that Isopropyl rubbing alcohol works really well to clean the patch area. Chemical cleaners may damage the urethane coating on the tarp. Always test cleaner in small area.

1. Apply adhesive to each surface to be bonded.

To maximize bond strength: Wait approximately two minutes for adhesive to partially dry before joining surfaces.

2.Press surfaces firmly together.

NOTE: Bond forms immediately and can be difficult to reposition. Cure Time Dry to touch in 5-10 minutes. Allow for a minimum of 24 hours for full cure. Cure time may increase with lower temperatures and when used on non-porous surfaces.

Storage Tips

After each use, wipe nozzle with a dry cloth and tightly replace cap. Store in a cool, dry location. Tip: For easier re-opening, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to the threads before replacing cap. Store away from children and animals.

Clean-up

Wipe uncured adhesive with a dry cloth. **Warning chemical cleaners may damage the urethane coating used on the USMC Reversible Field Tarp.
